Experience
  • Research Associate for Analog and Digital Electronics Courses 1975-1976 Electrical Engg Dept. at IIT, Kanpur
  • Research Engineer IIT Kanpur 1976-1977. Design and Development of Control Electronics for Stabilization of a magnetic field for Particle accelerator using NMR. This has been successfully used for the magnetic field stabilization for the Van de graf accelerator.
  • Joined ISAC 1977. Worked on test and evaluation of the satellite systems. Developed a microprocessor based simulator for in orbit simulation of the solar panel output at different aspect angles of SEO satellite to calculate the energy balance of the battery. Participated in the SEO II launch at Cosmodrome. Underwent training at DFVLR, Germany for test and evaluation of MEOSS payload for SROSS satellite
  • Joined VSSC in 1985. Major contributions are the design and realization of the control Electronics for PS2 hydraulic Engine Gimbal Control, PS3 Flex nozzle control and the PS4 twin engine gimbal control for PSLV. These are presently used in all PSLV flights.
  • Design and realization of the Digital Controller using the dual redundant DSP processor with FDI for power amplifiers , Mixture ratio and apparent velocity control and with cross strapped MilStd.1553 interface with onboard computer for the cryo stage control of GSLV. This system has been evaluated through ground tests at Russia with the Cryogenic Engine and used in all flights of GSLV.
  • Design and realization of the Control Electronics for indigenous Angular Motion Simulator. This is used for the high frequency three axis motion simulation for the GSLV NGC systems. Design of Power Amplifier for 250 KN shaker.
  • Design and Realization of the Advanced Telemetry System and the Advanced Mission Computer for PSLV and GSLV launch vehicles. This system is being used for all the present versions of PSLV and GSLV. The design and realization of the moon impact probe imaging system, telemetry and sequencer for the probe. Design and Realization of the Digital processing Unit for the SARA /CENA payloads of IRF Sweden and JAXA of Japan. All these system have been successfully used in the Chandrayan Mision. Design and realization of miniaturized DC/DC converter with built in EMI filters which is used in PSLV and GSLV flights.

Patents Filed:

  1. Miniaturized High Frequency DC/DC Converter.
  2. Analog Compensation method for multiplier less digital filters in data acquisition system.
