B.Tech student internship opportunity

 

  • There is an opportunity for a B.Tech student internship (for a period of two months starting January 2020) in a communication networks project (“Wireless ReLoD” funded by a SERB ECR grant ECR/2018/001649) in Dept. Of Avionics, IIST.
  • The student should be in the final year of B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (or equivalent). Student should have CGPA greater than 8.5 (or greater than or equal to 85% marks) in their course work upto 6th semester.
  • Student who have credited electives/courses in the field of computer networks, digital communication, machine learning, information theory and coding are preferred. Students who have had prior experience in projects related to computer networks, digital communication, coding theory (channel/source coding) are preferred. Students who are comfortable with programming in Python/Matlab/C++ are preferred.
  • The student should send a zip/rar/tar file containing an updated curriculum vitae (with contact details - email and mobile number), scanned copy of marksheets upto 6th semester, a small writeup (1 page) to [email protected] with a CC to [email protected].
  • The deadline for applications is extended to December 22nd, 2019.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted or a selection will be made on the basis of above information. If needed shortlisted candidates may be asked to appear for an interview. (Please note that there won’t be any reimbursement of travel fare or accommodation if a candidate is called for interview).
  • The 1 page writeup should be about their interest in communications networks and emerging fields such as IoT, machine learning, coding as applied to communication engineering.
