F-THRESHOLDS OF FILTRATIONS OF IDEALS

F-THRESHOLDS OF FILTRATIONS OF IDEALS

19-06-2025 10:00

Abstract

The F -thresholds of ideals in a ring of prime characteristic were introduced by Huneke, Mustata, Takagi and Watanabe as a prime characteristic invariant of singularities. In this talk we will discuss the notion of F -thresholds of filtrations of ideals, its existence, and effective upper bounds. Moreover we will see a connection between F -thresholds of symbolic power of filtrations and symbolic F -splitting, a new notion of singularities in prime characteristics introduced recently. This is a joint work with Dr. Arvind Kumar, Chennai Mathematical Institute.
