Smt. Minu Pramod, assumed charge as Registrar, IIST on 1st October, 2026. Before joining IIST she was a distinguished Officer from the 1997 batch of the Indian Civil Service (IRS- Customs and Indirect Taxes). A gold medalist Post Graduate in Biology, she also holds a distinction in MBA (HR) and brings with her near three decades of multifaceted administrative and leadership experience across India's indirect tax and public governance architecture.

Her professional journey spans different assignments across the country, including Customs, Central Excise, Vigilance, GST Audit, Infrastructure Development and Capacity building. She has undergone various Management and Administrative trainings in Judges Business School Cambridge University, Nyenrode Business University and the London School of Economics, London.

Throughout her distinguished career, Smt. Minu Pramod has been recognized for her dedication, administrative competence, and leadership excellence also being an Officer of pristine integrity and unblemished track record. She is also a recipient of the Officer of High Integrity Award conferred by the Anti-Corruption Movement of India, Tamil Nadu.

On the capacity-building and social outreach front she has emerged as a warrior against drug abuse during her tenure in Kerala between 2023-2026. She has reached out through her awareness camps nearly 10,000 stake holders across Kerala, covering students, parents, teachers and other stake holders like State Excise and State Police.  She is the key resource person on “Drug abuse prevention: behavioural and social impact, vulnerability patterns and brain rewiring”

A hat-trick district topper in public speaking in her student days, she has also been trained in theatre arts, engaging herself in poetry and painting.

Transitioning from revenue administration into the specialized academic and research ecosystem of IIST, Smt. Minu Pramod’s leadership gear will play a vital role in IIST’s institutional growth and future milestones.
