IGNITE #2 - Building Bridges in the Indian Space Sector
The Entrepreneurship Cell (Antariksh), in collaboration with the IIST Alumni Association (IISTAA), is organizing IGNITE #2 – Building Bridges in the Indian Space Sector on 15 August 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Main Programme Hall (MPH). The session will feature accomplished IIST alumni Ashwin Jacob Thomas, GNC Engineer at InspeCity Space Ltd. and former ISRO engineer, and Raghava K, Founder & CEO of Sanyark Space, former SDSC-SHAR engineer, and former Deloitte Space professional. Through their experiences in the Indian space sector and entrepreneurship, the speakers will share valuable insights into innovation, career development, and building ventures in the emerging space ecosystem. The event aims to inspire students, strengthen alumni engagement, and foster an entrepreneurial mindset within the institute. The session will also be live streamed through the official IIST YouTube channel.

Ashwin Jacob Thomas: Ashwin Jacob Thomas is an IIST alumnus and a former ISRO engineer, currently working as a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer at InspeCity Space Ltd. His work focuses on spacecraft guidance, navigation, and control systems, contributing to the rapidly growing Indian private space sector.
Raghava K: Raghava K is an IIST alumnus and the Founder & CEO of Sanyark Space. He is a former engineer at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR) and has also worked with Deloitte Space. He holds an MBA from Masters' Union and is actively involved in building innovative ventures in the Indian space ecosystem.
