The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) successfully conducted an Academic Orientation on Floating NPTEL Courses for faculty members on 04 February 2026 at the Aerospace Conference Hall. The programme commenced with opening remarks by Dr. Kuruvilla Joseph, Pro Vice-Chancellor, followed by an overview of NPTEL initiatives, IIST engagement, and the Local Chapter by Dr. Babitha Justin. NPTEL IIST SPOC. A focused seminar on the academic integration and management of floating NPTEL courses was delivered by Dr. Gigy J. Alex. Active participation from faculty members enabled meaningful discussions on the effective integration of NPTEL courses into the teaching–learning process, supporting academic awareness at IIST. The overall programme is coordinated by Dr. J. Sheeba Rani and Dr. Sam Noble.
