The Department of Earth & Space Sciences of IIST is organising its annual Astronomy & Astrophysics School from December 14 - 23, 2022. The school is meant to acquaint students with the basics of astrophysics. The lectures will be at a fundamental level with introductions to more advanced topics.
Students from any one of the following backgrounds are eligible to apply for the school
- M Sc Physics - First / Second Year.
- Integrated MS (Physics) - Fourth / Fifth Year.
- B.Tech (Engineering Physics) - Fourth year.
We typically receive a large number of applications from prospective participants. As the number of seats is limited, we may not be in a position to consider applications from students who do not belong to one of the above categories. Please resist writing to us for exemptions.
Interested candidates should complete the registration online from the link given below on or before October 17, 2022. The selected participants for the school will be intimated through email by mid-November. The selected participants will have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000 when reporting to the IIST campus for the school.
