The inauguration ceremony was held on January 9th, 2026, at 01:45 PM in the Council Hall, Admin Block, IIST. A distinguished lecture titled 'Inverter Transition Management for AC Microgrids' was conducted earlier at 10:45 AM in Swayamprabha Hall, Avionics Block. The event was graced by Dr. Dipankar Banerjee (Vice-Chancellor, IIST), Dr. Vinod John (Professor, IISc Bengaluru), Dr. Kuruvilla Joseph (Pro Vice-Chancellor, IIST), Dr. Raju K George (Dean), Dr. Manoj B.S (Chair, IEEE Kerala Section), Dr. Boby Philip (Chair, IEEE PES Kerala Chapter), Dr. Selvaganesan (HoD, Avionics), Dr. Rajeevan P.P.
