The International Women's Day was celebrated in IIST on 11th March 2026 (Wednesday). On this occasion, a special programme was organized to honour and celebrate the remarkable contributions of women across diverse fields. Smt. Anu Kumari IAS, The District Collector, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala was the Chief Guest and Smt. Sherin Noordheen Founder and Director, Let's Live (Mental Health Advocacy & Awareness NGO) was the Guest of Honour for the programme. During the function, a special video showcasing the prize-winning paintings and photographs was screened. Smt. Sherin Noordheen awarded the prizes to the winners of the Painting and Photography Competition. As part of the celebration, an exhibition-cum-sale of handicrafts made by the staff and students was also arranged. The results of the competitions are given below.
