The Mathematics Training and Talent Search (MTTS) - The program started in 1993 as a four-week intensive summer training program for mathematics students and has been organized at different locations across India over the last three decades. The program, funded by the NBHM, has been organized by a group of committed Mathematicians under the dynamic leadership of Prof. S Kumaresan, the first recipient of the INSA Teachers' Award in Mathematics. This year (2026), IIST has been chosen as one of The campuses of MTTS's 34th Annual Summer School is held from May 21st to June 16th of 2026. A number of 44 students from various states of India attended this 4-week mathematics camp and where instructors and mentors from various parts of India came to this camp to train the selected students.
