Department of Chemistry, IIST is conducting 12th edition of the ‘National Conference on Recent Trends in Materials Science and Technology – 2025’ during 18 – 20 December 2025 at IIST campus. The Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) has a proud tradition of hosting the National/International Conferences (NCMST/ICMST) annually. This prestigious series began with ICMST-2010, jointly organized by IIST and MRSI. Building on this successful foundation, the Department of Chemistry continues to organize these conferences as a collaborative effort with the Materials Research Society India (MRSI),Thiruvananthapuram Chapter. This ongoing partnership ensures a rich and diverse platform for advancements in Materials Science and Technology. The conference would host plenary and invited lectures and technical sessions comprising oral and poster presentations in the areas of Nanomaterials & sensors, High-temperature materials, Computational chemistry, Novel characterization techniques for materials, Materials for aerospace and defence, Metals, alloys & optoelectronic materials, Polymers, blends & composite materials, Novel material synthesis methods, Supramolecular and quantum chemistry, Smart, functional, soft, medical & biomaterials, materials for food, agro and petrochemical applications.
