A One-Day Exposure Visit was organized at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) for 60 students of Classes VIII–X, accompanied by 5 teachers/volunteers, from Govt. Vocational & Higher Secondary School, Karakulam, on 02 September 2026. The visit aimed to provide students with exposure to space science, technology, and research activities at IIST. The programme included a video presentation about IIST, followed by an interaction with Dr. Sandhya K. Y., Associate Dean – Outreach Activities, and Dr. K. G. Sreejalekshmi, Professor, IIST. The students also visited the Satellite Ground Station, Flight Mechanics Lab, and Astronomical Observatory, gaining first-hand exposure to various academic and research facilities and insights into higher education and career opportunities in space science and technology.
