The two-day workshop successfully delivered crucial safety knowledge and practical skills to the participants:Hazard Recognition: Participants were educated on chemical and physical hazards in the laboratory environment, including correct procedures for storage and disposal of chemicals. Emergency Response Skills: The practical Fire Safety session, held opposite the Admin Building, provided hands-on experience with firefighting equipment, drastically improving participants' confidence in responding to incipient fires.  PPE Proficiency: Dedicated training on the Handling and Use of PPE ensures that research activities are conducted with appropriate protective gear, minimizing risks. Medical Preparedness: The Medical First Aid session equipped attendees with essential life-saving skills, addressing common campus and laboratory injuries. Inter-Agency Cooperation: The strong association with VSSC and LPSC facilitated high-quality instruction and resource sharing, strengthening IIST's professional network with leading space agencies.
