The Money Minds Club of IIST, in collaboration with the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), is set to host a financial awareness session titled “Understanding Insurance: Smart Choices for the Future” on March 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the Council Hall, Admin Block. The session will be led by Mr. B. Ajish, Senior Divisional Manager, LIC of India, Thiruvananthapuram Division, along with Ms. Priya Pillai, Senior Branch Manager (CBO 4, Trivandrum — LIC of India), and Ms. I. Ajithasree, Marketing Manager, LIC of India, Thiruvananthapuram Division. This program aims to enhance financial literacy by introducing participants to the fundamentals of insurance, its key benefits, the different types of insurance available, and an overview of the insurance industry in India. The session is designed to equip attendees with essential knowledge to better understand insurance and its role in financial planning.
