Mr. NAUFAL N a Ph.D. Research Scholar in the Department of Avionics at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), secured Second Prize in the IEEE PES APPEEC Student 4-Minute Thesis (4MT) Competition 2026, conducted by IEEE Region 10 as part of the IEEE PES Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference (APPEEC) 2026 in Singapore. The competition challenged participants to communicate their research in four minutes using a single static slide. His presentation focused on power sharing and resilient operation of Open-End Winding Transformer (OEWT)-based microgrids during DC source outages. He conducts his research in the Power Electronics and Power Systems Research Group under the supervision of Dr. Rajeevan P. P. and Dr. Rajesh Joseph Abraham.
