In response to the invitation from the Additional secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, the faculty coordinator, Dr.Chakravarthy P., and a student representative, Shri Satyajit Kaman of the Adi Karmayogi Student Chapter, IIST, attended the National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan on 17th October 2025, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. The program was graced by Shri Jual Oram, the Union Minister for Tribal Affairs and Shri Durgadas Uikey, the Honourable Minister of State for Tribal Affairs.  Sectoral workshops and discussions on the various themes, such as governance & institutional strengthening, health & nutrition, livelihood & entrepreneurship, education & skill development, and infrastructure, took place in various thematic halls. The District Magistrates and other administrative officers made presentations. The Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu gave away the awards to the best performing Panchayats/Districts working towards the upliftment of the tribal community. During an Informal discussion, the Secretary, Ministry of tribal affairs, Shri VIbhu Nayar, encouraged the institute to contribute actively towards space based solutions for the empowerment of tribal communities, strengthening the vision of inclusive and technology-driven national development. He also insisted on the development of a very small aperture terminal and a satellite-based ground station for the purpose of establishing communication in the inaccessible/remote locations.
