The Honourable Vice-Chancellor, IIST, inaugurated the Digital Image Correlation (DIC) system by Dantec on December 17, 2025 in the Strength of Materials Lab, Department of Aerospace Engineering, IIST.  DIC is a non-contact optical technique for full-field measurement of displacement and strain. This enhances IIST’s capabilities in the area of experimental mechanics and high-end research.
