PEDS Lab
Overview
PEDS laboratory focuses on the modelling, design and hardware development of power conversion
systems. Its research includes modular and reconfigurable power conversion architecture for
terrestrial and aerospace micro grids. Students build and validate lab-scale converter prototypes,
gaining experience in the complete process of hardware development, involving power stages,
sensing, control and protection.
Goals
To train students in building power electronic systems, from first-principles analysis to lab-scale
hardware realization.
